You can still be in both guilds and gain control of both, but your choices along the way may remove some quests or create some conflicts. Percius is allied with the Thieves Guild while Sjoring wants them eliminated. As you get to the highest levels in the Fighters Guild, you're going to have to decide whose side you're on. Further complicating things will be your association (future, past, or present) with the Thieves Guild. You will get some dubious quests from Sjoring's people (Lorbumol in particular), and if you speak to Percius, he will advise you not to accept some of the bounty hunter-type assignments (more like assassinations, if you ask me - or him, for that matter). Percius' former right-hand man is Hrundi in Sadrith Mora. Sjoring's lackeys are Eydis in Balmora and Lorbumol in Vivec. There is a subtle and then, not so subtle, play for power here. The former guild master is Percius Mercius, one of the good guys, if you will.

The available items window is not reset after every successful steal, only when you close the window and retry the pickpocket.There is some conspiracy and conflict here. Micah Judaeah Posts: 3443 Joined: Tue 6:22 pm I am pretty much settled on making my keys very low weight (more easily stolen) and low value (as they should be), but I am curious if anyone can confirm or refute my conclusions. Now I wonder if their high value was to make them difficult to steal, but to compensate for this artificial value they were given no weight to make it impossible to sell (making the essentially worthless). It has long been a puzzle to me why keys would have such a large value and also be un-tradable. The latter could be removed with relative ease while the more valuable key usually triggered an alarm. I added two new keys to the target's inventory: one with a mass of 0.1 unit (in case a key's zero weight was tripping the formula) and one with a value of 1 gold. The pearl and ruby required several attempts before they could be taken successfully. When I placed several different ingredients in the target's inventory (all less than 1 unit of weight) only the low value items could be taken undetected regularly. These have been very difficult for me to steal even with a high sneak and security. Keys have no weight but a typical value of 300 gold. In particular, I am trying to pickpocket keys. The latter purports that the weight of the object is significant, but my tests suggest that it is the value (in gold) not the weight that determines success. Morrowind Scripting for Dummies offers a formula for both the chance of accessing an NPC's inventory and for a successful pickpocket. attempts a fix by tweaking a game setting, but I would prefer not to impose such a change on players of my mod. From what I have heard and from what my owe experience reveals it mostly does not work.
